HAHA Ook that's very lame..

i realized i actually have a lot of photos in my phone,  that i've always wanted to update on my blog. so.. all at one shot! :)

But very annoying cos i edited all the photos (compile, frames and etc). and then blogger has this auto "framing" thing, which makes everything look so weird now.. :I Plus, I specially changed the template just so the photos could fit. And the background is tad too distracting right? (mental reminder to change background/template..)


But anyways.... here goes!

Everyone was ang-moh, but the lion was very small leh, hahaha! plus the fire cracker was BLACK (-.-")
so it was quite a sight.

It somehow made me feel like back in SG chinatown.. :]

so then this one had a concussion cos it tried to fly through the glass door. We didn't know what to do, so we brought him inside the house and tried to nurse him to health. But then the moment he regained conscious, he kept banging onto those glass doors like nobody's business, REPEATEDLY!
quite bimbotic huh? Sad..

And this was just two days ago, at 6am when I was rushing my report.

it was just for the fun of it..
so we all *tried* to celebrate it by wearing green (ugh!)
and we went to a German Club. LOL.

The last day of cny

Just some stuffs on my cny, before i start with more on my valentines' photos tmr (hopefully). Hehe.

Mahjong!!! AHhhh....




speaking of mahjong, yesterday i played two winds of mahjong with my siblings, and there was this game which was so.. creepy! i started with trying to do my "ping hu", which was then thwarted by a flower, my own flower so it's still okay. But then i decided to do "pong pong hu" after that since I have reasonably good tiles for that too. after probably 3 turns i didn't get any tiles for my PONG PONG from any of them! so i just looked at my tiles carefully again, thinking in my mind the tiles I want: "二万，六万， 九同" (somewhere along the line). And then pooof! 二万 got thrown out and I "pong" the 二万. subsequently I "gang" my own 四万 and then gang my open 二万 and 六万 as well. All in all, 3 gang-es! And the best of all, I zimo-ed my pong pong hu.


I have a feeling i don't want to use my good luck that way. so i was glad we stopped at the end of 2 winds. hehe.

and so, i think that's the reason why my day sucked so bad at work! Must learn to deviate my good luck at the appropriate places next time if i realise i actually do get good luck.

Hope everyone had a great cny holiday! :) Things seems to be getting quieter and quieter over the years, and honestly, I really really can't be bothered. I'm not a big fan of cny, it's really really too very troublesome I think.


And the only redeeming factor I can think of is : mahjong!! hahaha.

the angpaos probably are not worth all the hassle and gossips and nagging and frustrations. But MAHJONGG~~ haha. I guess it's the only time when we can play mahjong through the night, at 3am and it's absolutely normal. :)

新年快樂

cny gets so troublesome as you grow older. and i'm not really a great fan of house visiting, even though there's only two places which I usually need to go aunties and uncles piss the hell outta me, pun intented.

(and now i need to go kiong's house too! which I really realy like them, cause their house is always so quiet and peaceful and fun to be at. so peaceful =D.)

and i think my family is cursed during cny because every year there's bound to have something bad stuffs going on, people fall down etc. and our family is famous for the quarrel - don't go - pull long face for everyone and make everyone unhappy stunt and making cny such a sensitive time of the year and i always have to think like 1000 times on what I am going to say.

it's quite scary thinking bout it sometimes, and over the years i really dread it. so you only talk to like thomas cause he's never petty bout small stuffs and always the same everytime. stupid mood swings huh?

dad.. it's always dad... and it's so sad sometimes.
i said 新年快樂, what's wrong?

CUSTOMER SERVICE

spent like a hundred dollars at jp today.
and all because of this stupid bubble tea shop which made me so mad.
ARGH!!!

the incident-
me saw a very pretty orange bag, $23, at one of the push cart at the basement level.

since they don't accept NETs, me have to go ATM to withdraw cash lor, and the nearest one is outside NTUC.

walking there, I saw no queue at the bubble tea shop that usually have very long queue.

Me thought today is my lucky day since there is no queue! and i'm quite thirsty, so maybe i can buy a drink and queue up for ATM too.

as i lined up at the shop, one after another queued up behind me.
3 people in the shop, only 1 is working, the other two TALKING and CHATTING.

so me ordered passionfruit milk tea.

the person behind me ordered 2 milk teas.


who came first?
ME.

is it because i ordered only ONE milk tea and she ordered TWO that's why I am served AFTER HER?!


So, obviously i'm pissed off.

i hate unfairness.
UGH!


nevermind.
the lady went off with her two bubble teas and i was served.

wa lao eh.
that supid girl, COUGH AND COUGH AND SNEEZE into the bucket filled of zhen zhu ("pearls") and syrups.

and she scoop only 1/3 of that already pathetically small ladle into my cup.

if u wanna ask me how little is little?
ten pearls.

cannot even fill up the base of the cup lor!



i already knew i'm mad, FUMING MAD.


so i decided to complain, infront of the counter, infront of everyone who is queuing up.


why are there so little pearls?
i asked the person (in chinese, this china AUNTY)
still angry over the fact i was not served first.


so the two kay pohs behind came to the counter and decided to "join in the fun" and thought they are soooo smart and wanna help her out.

no brains then say,
ACT SMART.
stupid.

it's as if she is reading off some manual-
"reasons to give when handling difficult customers"


Reason #1 -

Her: oh, our boss ask us to give lesser pearls leh.. boss lah. boss..
Me : but why just now that lady got so much? (the one bought 2 cups of bubble tea)




obviously, as i've said, she was happily chatting behind with another person, and didn't know that unfair incident her collegue made. and of course, she didn't even know what the person infront of me ordered lor.

any how say.


thus, Reason #2 -
Her: Just now that person got add pearls mah...
(from this you can comprehend why i said she was stupid and trying to act smart)

Me: She didn't add pearls! You don't even know lor!


and trying to cover up for herself,
Her: same one lah.. everyone the same one....


fuming, i took my bubble tea and stomp off.
and went to queue up for ATM,
forgetting my one dollar change.
:(


i should have taken her boss' number and complain and ask if he really wanted to CUT COST on the pearls.

or i should have taken a photo of my drink .
put it on straits times forum
ask MOH check their stall
make their business burst!

WAH I AM SO ANGRY LAH.

first two days of chinese new year, wasn't that great. in fact, i thought it was getting more dull as the years go by.

when i was younger, i remember being very happy whenever i play Blackjack with my family. You know.. seven people, quite a reasonably good crowd. we used to play for less than a dollar, $2 is considered a big bet. even when i lose, i enjoy the fun and all. dad was happy being the banker and giving us money. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY.

now?
well.. i just lost $12 in mahjong game, what do u think?

cny will never be the same as before i would say. when you grow older, it really gets very dull and mundane and TROUBLESOME.

even getting angbaos from relatives make me feel so awkward already! fine, whatever u say, i'm such a loner. but don't you feel very vexed when it comes to taking angbao? what should u say? is anyone watching? what is she thinking? do i look ugly? does that person hate me? should I say thank you or STILL say HAPPY NEW YEAR! as usual?

you want to get MANY MANY angbaos, but at the same time, getting it is awkward and troublesome. like u are ang bao grubbers or what.
