Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made from—things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it.
Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve—bones, eyes, guts, and all. it comes out looking like this.
There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color.
But, hey, at least it tastes good, right?
High five, America!
*smack*

something to share.. ; 7%

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio :

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:"

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ''In five years, will this matter?".
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive everyone everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
42. The best is yet to come.
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

It's estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will, forward this with the title '7%'. I'm in the 7%. Remember that I will always share my spoon with you! Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves.

祝我belated生日快乐

And so... i entered the twenties club, officially. Didn't knew it could be so traumatizing entering this club. It's not very nice when you're sick and down and you still have to turn 20. haha. ok la, that was nonsense. i love 20. yay! yay! yay!

just one more year and i'll be 21.

The day before my birthday was... really not a good day. work was really really bad, and i was so so mad at this person i was really breathing a lot to cool myself down and stop myself from crying. She's such a bad person! but then, maybe i was having pms that day plus i really hate her.

中D毒了!

haha. everytime i get mad at her, they will always say i "中D毒了".
and.. the small celebration really made my day at work end a lot happier than before.

it's nice to know that even tho we didn't know each other for a very long time and people still make the effort to make my birthday happy.

I didn't do much on my birthday. we had pastas. caught a movie at our favourite cinema. searched around for cute pens (haha, long story). we stayed home, watched Heroes and Prison Break. :) And smilling at each sms i received. thanks for all the smses! :) it's nice to know that people still rmb your birthday, after so long. Sometimes i think i'm very self centered because i want everyone to remember me. haha. but yeah.. too bad.

I guess i'm not the kinda girl who likes big birthdays and big parties and wants big surprises. why am i so boring? I am happy with what i have. I am happy that he could be here with me on my birthday and that's all I need, these days. haha. lucky? :)

and the movie we caught was House Bunny!!

It's really a very... blonde show. haha. She's really dumb and cute in the show, ie bimbotic. But it's a nice show to watch. haha.. Cinderella. (in shelley's voice)

I feel like watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. sounds like a sweet romantic movie. :)

Jer was helping me do my fortune with tarot cards yesterday and like any other fortune telling thingy, you need to ask a question. say.. for family, health, mearriage, work, etc.

I didn't know.

So i just ask if you know.. if she can do a general one la..haha.
Can not.

So i thought for a very long time before I asked what I've always wanted to know. It was all very vague and yes, I agree with her that you already know all the answers, all the expectations and future and predictions, your feelings. You just want to know which one is it and which points to take note. So yeah, it's really quite accurate and quite fascinating. It's like a prophecy! haha. I wanted a second go, but i don't wnat her lifespan to shorten la, so i didn't.

But according to her.... even if you do the second time, the cards may not be exactly the same, but the prediction would be the same, if not more.

Interesting huh?

The three sisters are home today

We were watching some hongkong drama repeats on tv.. and we were like gossiping and everything, bla bla bla.. we then started the topic on Miss Hong Kong actress and then when we searched the net it was so shocking the stars who were Miss Hong Kong (plural)!!

If you don't like to watch Hong Kong dramas like Dicey Business etc, I suggest.. you just skip the entire post. ENTIRE. haha.

So as I was saying.. Miss Hong Kongs! I'll just give a brief review on actresses who are actually miss hong kong.

She's 1995 winner!!
surprise surprise... like so long ago and she still look so young.

*****************************

1996 winner (lee san san):

And 1996 third (2nd runner up) was her!
Didn't realise all along she's a miss hongkong wannabe too.
*************

And Charmaine Sheh is actually 2nd runner up and not a Miss Hong Kong in 1997!

*****************************

And 1998 winner.
Can't believe she's actually the same age as charmaine sheh. (!!)

************************************

If you watched my favourite Xun Qin Ji you would know her!
And in Luo Shen she's the evil maid become mistress become big wife and then become empress. I think she look better in ancient shows than in modern.
And I was so shocked that she is actually a Miss HK (1999).

And fei fei was the 2nd runner up in the same year you know! :D

**************************

And winner for 2001 is her!!!
Can you believe it. She's like so young and I didn't know she's miss hk too.
I feel like I'm so sua ku..

***********************

And 2003 Miss Hong Kong,
maybe you don't know her yet,
but I know her as Judie Tang in one of her shows..
She got the Diamond Skin award also lor..
Really great complexion!

**********************

And 2004 winner.
I really didn't expect this too!

****************************

And hahaha... Just anti climax a lil.
Yuan Yong Yee looked so different already.
But she's a still miss hk (1990) too!

And of course, Amy Kwok in 1991.
I rmb watching all their shows on sundays when I was just a little kid.
Oh wells..

I know I know... a little pictures overload. But are you as shocked as me?? Hmm... Alright. still have WORK TMR!!! argh.. weird feelings these days.

tata!

which brain are you?

Hi!
Lynette showed me this really interesting online article, and I thought it was quite an eye-opener for me. Have fun! :)

*************************
i'm a right brain!
THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ...
do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

Adaptated from: http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22556281-661,00.html
(heh heh.. don't need proper citations la right. )

****************************

i saw clock-wise turn (right brainer),for a very long time. it is clockwise what! and no matter how i saw it, i couldn't see the anti-clockwise turn. like anti-clockwise don't exist at all lor. ANd then, I saw it. haha, anti-clockwise. :) and now i can easily switch and see both directions. interesting huh! Ignore the left-brain, right-brain thing, see if you can switch and see both directions too! =)

Being the youngest child..

Suddenly my days are just stuffed with FYP and nothing else. What ever I do I kept thinking of my project, how screwed up it is already, how short of time we are, how we're-never-going-to-finish-it-in-time-because-of-dr.evil.

I want to do it properly and finish everything. And it is so irritating when my comp is spoilt and that bleedy person keep changing the protocol and I have to change it on my report with no computer.

I have been going back to school every single day this week for HOURS. We made an appointment with this person at 10AM today, meet US. Not only is he late, he actually called and asked to meet the other group instead, while we wait happily in the lab for him.

Two hours and twenty minutes, to be exact.

And when we finally decided to go for our lunch and not wait for him, his majesty arrives. Argh, irritating right? Luckily today jac was here to rebut all his nonsense of making us run to Gate 5 and back to ac lab. (which is one end to another end of sp btw, from even furthur than biz block, to even furthur than opto centre).

It was actually alright today, we can finally start our experiment on saturday, and I still have to go back school tmr to split up the fish food.

Went to JP to deposit all the coins, and then I saw the French garlic bread from BreadTalk, hot from the oven! So I bought three and by the time I reached home I'm left with just one. Hah...I only eat garlic bread from BreadTalk. I can't remember when was my first bite at it, but it must have been so tasty lah. :) I only know that the garlic bread used to be much tastier than present one. =P

Reached home and dad starts nagging that I should stop taking money from my parents and all. :( Really sad. I will look for a part-time job then, and I won't have much time with my studies, family, or what ever. so they shouldn't complain if I don't come home. Busy ah..

I was reading the september issue of Cleo last night, and what caught my most attention was this page on our character. So it was saying, that our characters are built by 3 factors:
  • Our genetics from our parents,
  • Our environment, and lastly,
  • Our birth order (the only child, eldest, middle, or youngest)

And whatever it says about being the youngest child in the family, is so true. Youngest child are always more risk-taking, more creative (ha-ha, maybe not), more adaptable to changes, and always bad at making decisions.

true ah.
i can't make the simplest decisions, at all. tsk!

BWAHAHA

I know I know, this is like the 3rd entry already, but I just can't be bothered to study already!
Saw this and I was laughing my head off.

so true so true.
Love is in the air. BLEAA...

procrastinate

Gahhh. it wasn't such a great day, not at all. I've finished my gem assignments, acc report, and plant datasheet. Just one more report to go, 2 more quizzes and I can go meet my four exam papers on dooms day.

You know recently, there have been so many gross things around like everywhere! One of my classmate did a presentation and she showed us a picture of a split tongue and a kind of tattoo which is known as Scarification (scar-i-fi-ca-tion).

Now, split tongue is a kind of body modification whereby your tongue is simply cut and split into two, right in the middle, like a snake. And scarification is a tattoo formed by scaring your skin with the desired pattern and then peeling the entire skin off. Taadahh! "Beautiful" scars.

I mean not just this incident, i just happen to remember those photos vividly. But I also remember feeling really disgusted many time lately over pictures, videos, descriptions. UGH!

Today I am just going to show you some pictures on perhaps the most interesting experiment that I had this semester.

Just thought of putting it up. the chick embryo is so cute.
Kinda puts my mood off. :(

And i refuse to study for my tests and do my report.

A question for you..

97% of Harvard graduates can not figure this riddle out.

84% ofkindergarten students were able to figure this out in 6 minutes or less.

Can you guess the correct answer?

I turn polar bears white
and I will make you cry.

I make guys have to pee
and girls comb their hair.

I make celebrities look stupid
and normal people look like celebrities.

I turn pancakes brown
and make your champagne bubble.

If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.

Can you guess the correct answer?

Hahz. Think about it. =)

The correct answer is "NO".
How can that be?

Let's review the last line of the riddle:
"Can you guess the correct answer?"

That's why kindergarteners could get the right answer, because they simply answered "NO".

something interesting

Stumbled on something quite interesting.
anyway, the whole blog was really interesting.
especially coming from a typical singapore student!

Stretch the corners of your eyes to see what is written.

Amazing huh?!

i mean of course it's not the words that's interesting lah.
it's the way the designer has designed the words.

but then again,
why are singaporeans so against the sex issue?
like your parents never have sex before meh?

but it's what makes a typical singaporean right?
haha..

oh anyway,
that interesting blog is this :
http://www.the-miracle-season.blogspot.com/
(you know Shift-Click opens the link in a new window?)

:)
last paper for Metbio.
must do well for it!!
and everything will be over after this week.

:)
feeling happier these days.
thus all the smileys.
haha
:P

there's got to be more to life right?!

ahhh!! school again.
so sick.
flu comes suddenly.
eyes pain like hell.
these are signs!
something bad is going to happen.

:(

i feel so stressed up everytime i look at that metabolic biochemistry note.
i feel so stressed up when i have to do that tutorial cuz i am clueless at what the qns are expecting from me.

Nothing.
expect nothing from me.
i dunno how to do any of them.
stupidity has proven itself once more.

do you know gorillas' dick is only 2inches LONG?
