Pride and Prejudice

I forgot how much I loved reading when I was younger, much much younger, during my primary school days.

Somehow reading became a chore over the years. I stopped reading the newspapers daily, I only read off from Yahoo News, I can't remember the last time I held a book besides Twilight. I'm glad we don't have textbooks in school, just notes, because I won't read it.

But I have the time now, and it's time to catch up on the classics. Reading Pride & Prejudice now, and Sense and Sensibility. *beams*

The books I read before this seems so trashy now (think Twilight, 50 shades of grey etc...) Ok, no. Twilight is awesome. And since 50 shades of grey is inspired from Twilight it makes sense it is equally awesome. #twilightfanforever!!

So anyway.. I figured out that I have to install an ebook reader app so I could read using my iPad mini. (I totally thought I had to live off iBooks before this and so regretted not getting a Kindle or a Nexus 7). And so I installed this app called Kobo.

You have to set up a free account and OK it is not all  free, but the classics are all free.

Tried out this app to see if it's good, thinking it'd better be cos' I really hate setting up accounts. It is such a hassle!

Started out with reading the Midnight Sun by Stephanie Meyer. It is not the incomplete draft from a few years back, I found the completed one, although the authenticity of this is pretty suspicious, but it is still very exciting to read from Edward's POV!

And then I read the Hunger Games Series.
SO GOOD.
I'm waiting for the movie now.

Then The Little Prince.
Such an innocent book.
Yes, it is a children's book.

Then some others.
And.. that's how it started.

Kobo app approved.

Anyway, so I am trying to read the Classics now. But it is really really difficult and it's super cheeem for me at this stage. I'm at 20% of Pride & Prejudice and I just couldn't follow who said what and who's talking and where they are.

So I went to watch the movie version first.  The 2005 movie starring Kiera Knightly. I remember liking her a lot during Secondary school days.

HAHA, cheating.

Ahh...... now I understand.

Although the guy in the movie is quite different from what I have read so far, character-wise.

And the movie is really GOOD actually!
I recommend it.
My kind of movie. :D
And I'm guessing that the book is going to be better since it almost always worked out this way.

I like this part of the movie, her in the swing. :)

Can't believe how much have not changed since 1813, that's exactly 200 years ago since this book was published, and it surprises me how aptly this movie still applies in our current society.

Yes, so much pride and prejudice.

Hope to finish the book soon!

I'm really enjoying reading now.
It's just so peaceful to immerse in a book as the clock ticks on around you.

:)

One Day

Cos I like pictures of people kissing.

Finally got around to watch this movie. Thought it's just so oh-romantic. And so British (and sophisticated?). Definitely a good watch. But, well, such stories only happen in movies. *scoffs* I'm pretty sure she would have married the jazz pianist and he would have found someone else and they lived a horrible life.

why so bitter...?
Tsk.

*****************************

3rd day through my long leave, whooohoo! Managed to replenish all the lost sleep. Caught up on some dramas (Lee Min Ho is so good looking....), have not watched 犀利人妻movie, planned for our vacation finally, tried going to Amore but failed.

September's here! Probably my 2nd favourite month of the year, but it's such a love-hate relationship. So many of my favourite people's bday are in this month, super love! But then, I'll be super broke too. Then again, I'm always broke, so there's that. Plus, it's also the month where all the American TV shows starts again! Super happy.

All's good so far. Just signed our lease for our flat a few days back on the 19th, don't even want to look at my cpf account now, SIGH.

And work starts.... Wed.

(又)搬家了

yep! Apart from the moving, which was at 9PM on Wed because that irresponsible couple decided to just use the shared car without saying anything, and obviously they didn't think they did anything wrong, gave some excuses as if it was their first time using the car without asking/saying.

Otherwise, very happy with my new place and housemates.
:)))))

The usual, busy with my project and school.
Oh, finally watched No Strings Attached on Funshion. (so sweet)

and today i watch HP7 part2 in the cinema!
** so so so sad and tragic! **
But I didn't cry.
Oh okay fine, i teared. :X (Snape... oh, Snape..)

Plus, it's like really the end of THE journey!
10 years since the first movie.
10 years! I just entered secondary school man...
Sigh~

Maybe I'll watch it again..

can't wait for Breaking Dawn!
because i'm a Twilight fan.
and cos' that will mean i've completed my honours!

Lately I've been in a really..... nostalgic mode. not really nostalgic, but the "past-present-future" mode. Like looking back the past, the annoying people, the present awesome life, and the questionable future.

I would say, two years I've spent working, was quite a waste of time. I could have halved it or something. I should have done something earlier, should have left earlier. (should have, would have, could have...)

Two years in uni, is just the appropriate number of years. To study hard and enjoy uni/australia, and going back SG before I can hate anything here. :))))

The future, I'm hoping for the best of course!
Can't wait to slap people in the face when I become successful.

Haha, kidding..
I daydream a lot you see.
so.. yeah. dreaming on.

well, we'll see in Dec..
Can't wait to eat all the SG food!
MISS Y'LL!

Not that bad.

haha.

weekend entry

while, the weekend is almost over huh..
and then it's back to work. :(

didn't work on saturday..
spent almost the whole day sleeping. haha.
woke up around noon, lunched, slept till 6pm?
dinner, tv.. shows.. and the sleeep again.
hahah.

quite shiok actually.
to sleep without worry ^.^
I still woke up late today! haha.
One day I must must must test how long I can sleep at one go. :P

Went dating with kiong today!
movies!
=)

Pretty good I think. Kinda sad too when I watched it. I like the female guitarist! she's so cool I think! :)) This guitar is studded with Swarovski crystals you know. specially for the concert. so blinngz. haha.

Watched The Proposal too. It was surprisingly funny. haha. but expected ending. but very funny! :)

************

got work tomorrow... :/
work pretty sucks lately.
sigh, wrote an entire entry about my work, and I just couldn't publish it. :/ after posting it up for a few minutes.. thinking about it, finally deciding that, there's really nothing about work that I wanna share.

work..
will always be work.

Keep holding on

Finished watching Eragon. I figured better to know the story first then read. heh heh. It's really not bad! But I feel that the movie was really not up to standard lah. Dragon was cool though :)

My days feel different lately.
Suddenly everything seems different.
The people, the roads, the atmosphere..
But somehow it also seems like it has always been like this.

Weird.

Keep holding on cos' you know we'll make it through
Just stay strong cos' you know I'm here for you...

Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly

I think Marley & Me has got to be the best movie i have watched so far this year.

gloomy tuesday, wednesday, and maybe thursday as well.

was taking a cab home from work on tuesday. It was such a beautiful night, I just stared out the window throughout the journey, the moon was so captivating. So...peaceful. And then I saw the uncle was driving at 120km/hr. 吓死我了!

Time is flying fast. Soon it will be november and then it will be New Year already. Ah..I've been working for 6months already, unknowingly.

Work has been so frustrating lately, I dunno why either. And I guess the leave came at the right time. Do u have the feeling like you're lost in this world, the time just pass by and then you sleep, you wake up doing really random stuffs u like, and yea.. wait for time to pass. Even at work, it seems like this sometimes. Starve until u can have ur dinner, and then the struggle with time to go home.

Oh man, what happened to my life. I used to be so happy. Now I know what it feel like having an empty heart, and trying to fill it with food. Junk food.

Surprisingly, it has been a long time since I had my last bubble tea. 3 days. haha. I used to have it everyday. Even now, i'm just drinking green tea, red tea. Nothing special.

Maybe I'm turning into a fossil soon. I like sitting down, lying on my bed, stuffing on music, smelling of the fresh air, closing my eyes...

I just watched Closer. Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman. And I never thought love/relationship could be so complicated, and easy at the same time. You can fall in love so easily with another party and then turn everything so complicated. Why has the mindset of love became so distorted. I thought it was supposed to be a really beautiful thing. And the scariest thing is knowing that the movie is portraying the reality. :(

I think I should re-watch something like The Holiday, Love Actually, What Happens in Vegas, Alot like Love. Then I'll be happy!

Yea, I think I get influenced by the media alot thanks.

Oh and I listened to Jay's new album, and it's a pretty good one.
小丑 is a nice song.
okay, actually most of the songs are nice :D

能不能给我一首歌的时间 紧紧的把那拥抱变成永远~

祝我belated生日快乐

And so... i entered the twenties club, officially. Didn't knew it could be so traumatizing entering this club. It's not very nice when you're sick and down and you still have to turn 20. haha. ok la, that was nonsense. i love 20. yay! yay! yay!

just one more year and i'll be 21.

The day before my birthday was... really not a good day. work was really really bad, and i was so so mad at this person i was really breathing a lot to cool myself down and stop myself from crying. She's such a bad person! but then, maybe i was having pms that day plus i really hate her.

中D毒了!

haha. everytime i get mad at her, they will always say i "中D毒了".
and.. the small celebration really made my day at work end a lot happier than before.

it's nice to know that even tho we didn't know each other for a very long time and people still make the effort to make my birthday happy.

I didn't do much on my birthday. we had pastas. caught a movie at our favourite cinema. searched around for cute pens (haha, long story). we stayed home, watched Heroes and Prison Break. :) And smilling at each sms i received. thanks for all the smses! :) it's nice to know that people still rmb your birthday, after so long. Sometimes i think i'm very self centered because i want everyone to remember me. haha. but yeah.. too bad.

I guess i'm not the kinda girl who likes big birthdays and big parties and wants big surprises. why am i so boring? I am happy with what i have. I am happy that he could be here with me on my birthday and that's all I need, these days. haha. lucky? :)

and the movie we caught was House Bunny!!

It's really a very... blonde show. haha. She's really dumb and cute in the show, ie bimbotic. But it's a nice show to watch. haha.. Cinderella. (in shelley's voice)

I feel like watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. sounds like a sweet romantic movie. :)
*************************

Jer was helping me do my fortune with tarot cards yesterday and like any other fortune telling thingy, you need to ask a question. say.. for family, health, mearriage, work, etc.

I didn't know.

So i just ask if you know.. if she can do a general one la..haha.
Can not.

So i thought for a very long time before I asked what I've always wanted to know. It was all very vague and yes, I agree with her that you already know all the answers, all the expectations and future and predictions, your feelings. You just want to know which one is it and which points to take note. So yeah, it's really quite accurate and quite fascinating. It's like a prophecy! haha. I wanted a second go, but i don't wnat her lifespan to shorten la, so i didn't.

But according to her.... even if you do the second time, the cards may not be exactly the same, but the prediction would be the same, if not more.

Interesting huh?

so sick II

and i finally watched 恋空! Not as touching as i thought it would be, like 秋天的童话 or 夏日香气, but still.. *sniff sniff*

And it's said to be a true love story!
how can somebody's life be so tragic??? :'(
maybe i should start looking for the novel..
But it's really not a bad show to watch. Sweet, really sweet.
:)

Mad scientist

When med school student Ted Gray graduates top of his class he joins one of the nation’s most prestigious Pathology programs. With talent and determination Ted is quickly noticed by the program’s privileged and elite band of pathology interns who invite him into their crowd. Intrigued by his new friends he begins to uncover secrets he never expected and finds that he has unknowingly become a pawn in their dangerous and secret after-hours game at the morgue.

They regularly select one of their members (on a rotational basis) to commit the “the perfect undetectable murder”, while the rest use forensic methods to try to determine exactly how the homicide was executed.

I just watched this show. It's damn sick, if you're a science student that is. Scary in a sense that you might end up in this psychotic state someday. And it just adds on to your 101 ways of killing a person, a "PERFECT MURDER" as in the story, killing someone and not be detected. And at the end of the day, you know/feel that cynide killing is just a piece of cake.

gruesome yet interesting.

Boy: He is going to die anyway... (on drugs and cancer i think.)
Girl: While.. everyone will die some day.

Yes... I so feel like inventing my perfect murder.

hate hate hate

don't you just hate it when you're in need of the toilet and you can't find the freakin' keyssss!!!

yea me too!
Hmmm..

Blogging just died down.
Inspiration died down.
Lost of words..
and I just can't pen down my thoughts like I used to anymore.

Life gets harder as you grow.
Decisions get harder,
situation gets difficult to handle,
and your heart slowly closes without you realising it.
I'm lost.

This whole week was gone faster than I've imagined.
Monday passed with blues..
Tuesday.. Wednesday.. Thursday.. hot and cold.
Friday was black.
and today's already Saturday.

Whatever that should happen happened, otherwise it's not meant to be.
So fast but yet so many things happened.
And many things did happen very fast.

Unpredictable weather;
天有不测风云, 人有旦夕祸福

Where have I gone, what I've done.
And maybe life will be like that from then on;
Work, rest, food, politics, television, family.. and now, bills!

****
(and just to digress...)

Seriously, coming home with 3 letters on your table.

First one, DBS bank. Okay... the stuffs which I've bought...

Second one, Singtel bill. (and then you just realised you have just donated $50 to the earthquake victims. FIFTY! It's totally amazing how much you can spend with a phone. You should guess how much the bill came up to.)

And then you'll just leave the third one on the desk for another day which you know will come one fine day.

goodness.
the stress you get with bills.
I shall be understanding towards my mum and her bills from now on.

****

and then, you're alone in your room. And it will get so depressing.
and it's amazing how life must still goes on no matter what happens.
and you just wish it will wait for you for a while...

I'm so lost at the moment.
But I have someone with me to get lost with.
And I feel so happy to be lost with him.

It was never the stuffs he did that made me happy, the things he will buy, or the ice creams and candies and chocolates that he would feed me with. It's just.. the time that he was willing to spend on me, that he was willing to spend together with me that makes me a happy person.

Money can buy so much love, seriously!
But you just have 24hours each, FLAT.
Everybody has the same, fairness and equality! muahaha!!

Why waste your time on people who will never ever reciprocate or even appreciate the things you do for them? Why spend it on stuffs you'll regret later in your life?

Yea. spend it wisely! Can you imagine how much time people have wasted for me? Sinner.
(coughs *i'm sorry*)

Just watched Sex and the city movie, and it's such a nice, sweet, smart, cleverly funny movie. Though she was a bit "deh" for her age, but it's such a wonderful movie.

have you ever wondered why people want to cheat on their partners? I mean, both mentally and physically. For thrill? Fun? Curiosity? "test water"?

i think it's nonsense.

if you wanna cheat, either you make sure you don't get caught (or stupidly admit it). Seriously, somethings are better left not known. I prefer to be blind than to accept, while.. that's what i think, now. or you don't commit into any relationships la!

I can never be that forgiving, to have the courage to forgive, to forgive such a serious crime from someone so close. Half a year seem such a long time, but it'll take forever to heal that wound too, isn't it?

and the songs nowadays ah....
how am i supposed to breathe with no air no air no air..

as compared to all time classics 邓丽君's :
任时光匆匆流去我只在乎你.
心甘情愿感染你的气息.
人生几何能够得到知己.
失去生命的力量也不可惜

incomparable.

ok lor

This week was... not bad actually :) at least up till now :) work was not bad, relationship was not bad, diet was not bad, surprises were not bad, sleep was not bad too! hahaha.

It was a tad boring, as compared to school life.. But I don't feel like going back to school anytime soon, bad, bad experiences.. don't you think? And I kinda enjoy what I'm doing now, my work.. really, for now. and i don't hate my work, maybe not yet. :)

And it's during such times when it became obvious how loved (and pampered and spoilt) I am by kiong. hehheehheeh. :D simply because he tolerates all my nonsense. and i feel so bad. now i think about it. :(

And even though we're both working now, we still spend as much time together, watching our dog shows, Mythbusters (favourite!), movies and more movies with ice creams and cookies.

We watched 'I am Legend' and it feels a bit like..... Cast Away and Cloverfield combined? haha. I thought it was not a bad show actually. Lonely... Mr lonely.. And a very possible outcome of typical eagerness in science and LACK OF ANIMAL TESTING! >:(

You know I used to be a great great fan (now, not quite) of The Body Shop simply because it is against animal testing and you know.. cruelty. =X And then came our GMP module and I was so enlightened, all of a sudden. You know, the light.. I just saw it all of a sudden (LOL, ok overacting..).

Animal testing is the fundamentals of all products! If it's not even tested on a rat, how is it safe for me maybe 10 years down? :( Clinically proven is for test tubes. Animal testing is more for humans. Are you selling your products to test tubes or humans?!

Okay, never mind.

And we watched 21, already. heh heh.. nice show! Smart people shows are always so awesome,. And then, it will make me feel so stupid. haha. Math.. math.. math.. math and money goes together huh? :/

You know lately I'm quite obsessed with Mythbusters (secretly)!! It's so much entertaining than those typical educational shows. You should watch the episode where the myth on "bull in a china shop" is completely busted. It's amazing :)

who wants to watch sex and the city movie!! =D

Of books and movies

I hate myself sometimes, for lazing around at home.
Not that I ENJOY lazing around, especially with you nagging at me every single minute enough to make sure I feel like trash. So stop blaming and asking why am I always not at home or such.

And I don't exactly LAZE around, I got my stuffs to do too.
Just because I didn't do them before (when I was so much busier), I got to do them now since I'm free. It's almost as if you're waiting for me to get busy with work and then nag at why I didn't do them earlier.

Stop coming into my room just "checking" and giving me that dirty look whenever you find me tired and sleeping in my bed. While, I'm tired.

And it's not as if I am the only one that "laze around" at home.
What's wrong with talking to your wife on the phone. Taking the effort to bring the phone all the way to me and asking me to pick up the phone because you don't want to speak to her, isn't pressing that button easier? Just pick up that phone la, it's ringing!

It does seem as if you're the woman now with your pms and everything, and that your wife is the man.

***********

It's weird that I started off in mind that I am going to talk about Harry Potter and 金田一 in this entry and it turns out...

Anyway! I am trying to re-watch all the whole Harry Potter series. yes, all over again. He was just such a small small thing when he first started out, look!

It's like Transformers.

And after the movies I'm going to head for the books, LOL. I suddenly got back my love for reading, this hobby is so fantastic. I initially wanted to re-read my whole comic series of 流星花园 but I had trouble digging them out and so I am reading my 金田一 collection first , which is at the outer part so it is easier to take out, and then go dig deeper for my 流星花园 books.

And after that, hopefully I would have started work by then, I will try and keep up this hobby and go buy some books often to read.

:)

There are so many things that I wanted to do. Of course I don't read the whole day, so there's so many things that I wanted to do before. I wanted to learn to play the guitar (now I can only follow badly at the tabs :(), learn the piano (I have been memorising the keys all along, lol), the violin.. travel around the world for heavens sake.

But yea. i think i need to differentiate my wants and needs.

Saturday, February 02, 2008

movies to watch:

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street
Johnny Depp!! And it sounds like an incredibly cool story. :)

KUNG FU DUNK (功夫灌篮)
Action action. Jay chou. A must.

Cj7 (长江7号)
I like comedy shows =D

And of course,
P.s. I Love You
which would be coming out on the 14th February Valentines Day!
loves loves.

these cinema committee are sooo smart to have so many nice movies coming out near CNY so poeple are all in the good mood to watch sooo many nice shows.

Great too actually. =D

cause I would then have so many movies to watch that I don't end up watching ah long pte ltd, or some sort. =/

ah long long long.. ah long long long...
-.-"

happy CNY! (and spring cleaning and buying of new clothes)

Wednesday, January 23, 2008

Tomorrow is immunology exam.

has been some time since i came here. the previous entry was done in like what? less than 10 seconds? =/

just trying to type some stuffs down before I forget. it sucks not being able to rmb what you did over the last 6 months. and the stuffs u rmb are just bits and pieces everywhere. sigh..

Yea! I'm in the middle of my studying-for-exam. BOOHOO! =/
THose study breaks were spent playing and watching movies haha. I finally watched the bourne series! Ultimatum is definitely the best. Will watch it again ;) so cooolll!!! =)))))

OH yes yes.. me and kiong went to catch Cloverfield on our 2nd anniversary (hugs and loves loves added). Such a bad timing for exams, didn't know if we should celebrate our anniversary or study for the exams. But of course which idiot will choose to study instead of spending that quality time with your loved loved one on your special day?! Hmm..

Anyway, I thought Cloverfield was quite a pretty good show, if you don't think much bout the plot that is. Rather interesting way to view a really lame event but yea, interesting effects haha. And an ugly monster! totally disgusting, in a weird way. bleafft..

I really hate monsters roaming around and destroying everything. I mean, sometimes they just come out of no where! taking over the world...epidemic sucks.

I know, so random.
errr.. hmm.. =)

You know, sometimes I really love exams. I get sooo sooo soo happy after exams! you can't get that feeling from else where, it's just different kind of happiness, isn't it? :) Hope my optimism is helping one way or another for tmr, LOL. Good luck! :)

holiday weekends

I think meeting people makes me happy. To know that there are still nice people around me, and proving to me that there can be nice friends around, not just those superficial ones who talk behind your back and stuffs.

This weekend was really one of a kind, because I met up with secondary school mates and, (no hidden meaning whatsoever), it has been such a long time since I met them and chat with them, or even know what is happening in their lives. Sad to say, I think I am not exactly close with them, cause of so many reasons, but quite glad that they didn't really leave me out in their conversation haha. Or may be I was the one who keeps going on and on and on lah and they were all bearing with all my nonsense, I dunno. But chatting with them was a very good start to my weekend!

I had a really terrible morning and afternoon cause of the preparation of the fish food in the lab. Something is really wrong there, feeling nausea and having headache after staying in there for a few hours to prepare the fish food for next week. stinks like hell la.

So I went to watch The Bourne Ultimatum ( I decided to put all my reviews at Multiply) after my FYP and the theatre was really bad! You know at the aisle seats they have the light showing the range of seats for that row right? The light was extremely glaring, I think maybe they just changed the bulb or what, I swear the entire theatre was lit up by those irritating bulb. And throughout the whole show I had to cover my face with my book like I'm some terrorists or what.

bro's back, gotta go.

hot hot hot

I know that's alot of photos for a movie.
But this movie is really nice! :)
I thought he was schizo and the girl didn't exist at all.
But the ending turned out to be such a fairytale :)

Best of all, he enjoyed the show too.

Lately, I am having trouble talking to him.
Everytime he tells me something, I would go 是哦?!! in a really astonished way. And then he would reply 是 lei..

Kind of funny, and cute.
haha.

Having fever. Think I got infection from my sore throat. Had been sleeping the whole day. Didn't study at all. But I'm still having fever, think I should go back and sleep. I still have my M&Ms chocolates in my bag........ =(

Friday, August 10, 2007

Ahem. ahem.

I didn't have the time to blog yesterday, and I left out some things I wanna say. I'm having my GEM quiz later on and before that I have to hand in my report. And after that, I'm just left with the exams next week and I am on holiday!!! =)

Ms Yee is having her wedding soon and she's doing all the preparations now. Her wedding is over at KL and she said she would hire a bus and book the hotel rooms for us if we intend to go over to KL for her wedding. She will be having a tea reception over at Singapore 2 weeks after her wedding at some Methodist church too but I thought it won't be as much fun compared to going over to KL.

But, seems like no one else is interested except me. I thought I would be busy with my FYP too, but I looked through my calender and found out that FYP presentation is at week 9 whereas the wedding is on that particular weekend.

So, I don't think I'll be going KL for her wedding. That sleazy hotel kind of scares me already, plus, no one wants to go with me :( Don't think I'll be going for the tea-reception either, why go for the second when you can have the best!

Several movies I watched lately, Flash Point on Monday, Rush Hour 3 on the Eve of National Day. Flash point is dull, Louis Koo is kinda wimpy in that show. Rush hour 3 is quite funny. Didn't like both, that's all.

Yesterday was National Day! Yes, and I wonder why everyone is staying at home during the nation's birthday while the banglahs took over Singapore. Maybe because it's not their country's birthday la, singaporeans are very patriotic to stay at home to watch the ndp.

Daddy's birthday today! Celebrated it yesterday cause everyone's free. Mum cooked dinner, 7-course meal, buahaha. Prawns, Fish, Chicken Wings, Sweet&Sour Pork, Abolone, Veggie and a melon soup. =) Yum yum. I like abalone, hahaha.

I went to do my report after the dinner, cause the report is due today. And then they cut the cake, sang the birthday song, without me. And they only saw me cause eh no battery already. you never charge the battery!

:( :(

And I am feeling quite sick lately, flu and cough and sore throat. On, and off. I coughed through the night, and had the worst nightmare cause I dreamt that I split up with my boyfriend and I woke up in tears.

You see why I woke up so early when my lesson is at 1pm? :( I guess dreams are like that, you never know if it shows you the future, or it's just nothing.

yellow people

the simpsons!!

not bad a show. Some parts are really funny, and dumb.
pffft.

I doubt the movie will make me like simpsons.
It is just a very nicely done movie. Content? Save the environment.

and i quote,
the president is chosen to LEAD, not to read.
