You never know when it's the last time you do something, until it is too late.

SO that was some pretty awesome three-month rest.

Lyn says I am busy for a jobless person.. Haha. I am (was), indeed!

Germany

For the first two weeks I actually went for a holiday with Jer to Germany. That was really an ADVENTURE. It all started last year when Ain just texted me to say there's a promotion going on for Lufthansa, so I just booked the tickets the same day. I probably have already decided on leaving the blood bank then.

I then told Jer, who was pretty depressed that day due to work stress, that I am quitting my job and planning for my trip to Germany. And she said she wants to join me and go Germany! Booked her tickets as well within the same hour, I think. No wonder I love her.

So.. that went well.

March was supposedly the start of Spring, but the temperature was still -5 to 0 degrees in Germany. And somehow we got hit by blizzard during out stop-over in Frankfurt, and our connecting flight got cancelled.

How exciting right?!

All I could think of at that time was how lucky I am that Jer is around with me :))

We had to either wait for 10 hours for the next flight, or switch our flight to a train to get to Tubingen. We decided to take the train, cos' we were freezing and we don't want to stay in the airport for so long!

Turns out we did have to stay in the airport for quite some time still, because they decided to transfer our baggage to the next FLIGHT, when we already told them that we are taking the train. Which resulted in us waiting by the belt and running around the airport/train station for more than 6 hours to get our luggage.

I concluded after the trip that Frankfurt might not belong to Germany because they absolutely do not have the qualities that fits the German image. Late trains, cancelled flights, wrong platforms, careless and inefficient service. This is not Germany.

It was fortunate (or not) that we took the train because the subsequent flight also got cancelled!

We finally reached Tubingen at 5pm, instead of 9am. Super tired from all the dramas, but still have enough energy to get my BB prepaid and some H&M shopping!!

The rest of the trip was really fun, although traveling did take a toll on our bodies and half the time we were really cold and grumpy. But nothing beats meeting up with a friend studying overseas, and walking along new streets in a new city/country.

First snow experience! view from Ain's window.

Ritter Sport Museum at Stuttgart

Visited the famous Disney castle, Schloss Neuschwanstein, in Schwangau

Munich City

Got lost in the humongous Englischer Garten, Munich.

Berlin's Brandenburg Gate

In the middle of the Holocaust Memorial, Berlin

Not forgetting the Berlin wall!

Visited the East Side Gallery, another part of the Berlin Wall.

First Snowman! :)

Also went to the wealthy Hamburg city!

Visited the grand Hohenzollern Castle in Stuttgart, the only castle still owned by the Hohenzollern family.
And that's a nice picture of the three of us at Hohenzollern!

BABY-SITTING

After the trip, I just bummed around at home. And a few days later, I started babysitting for my pregnant sister. It was so enjoyable playing with my niece! Good practice for the future too, haha.

I mean I used to always think some moms are really crazy that they can differentiate what the baby wants. Cos' the baby is just going like "meh meh meh." or "maaa maa ma maaaaa", and they will go "OH..She is very hungry. She is asking you to feed her milk now".

I mean, what are the possibilities that your baby wants you to cook chicken rice for her?! of course it's either she's hungry or sleepy or uncomfortable right?!  The sounds that they make all just sound the same to me lor.

BUT, after a few weeks with her, hahaaha....I can really tell what she wants, or what she is trying to say. Or at least I think I do.  She just go "shhh shhh shhh", and  I know she wants me to sing Wheels on the Bus. Or she will go "daaahhhhh" meaning Twinkle twinkle little star. Or "shhherrrr" meaning Treasure!

Like how freaky is this! And I am pretty sure it doesn't mean anything if she says this to other people cos' it is really just baby talk.

But yeah, OK, I get it, have to reserve my judgement next time when I see babies go "bababa" and the mom goes "daddy please go and get some barley for her, she wants to drink barley, hot one, without barley, no ice "

************************************

TUITION
Started tutoring again! It is damn far lor. But I think I kinda like traveling around different parts of Singapore, often, just for the fun of it and familiarizing myself.

Sometimes I feel like I don't really know Singapore, cos' just a few months ago I still though Pasir Panjang is near Bukit Panjang. SIGH............

But yeah! Tutoring is good practice for future too! And it is really quite fun =D

************************************

I took up Spanish with Nicole!!  HOLA! ¿Cómo estás?

It actually started in Germany when we met a Spanish girl and a Mexican girl in Munich, and I was discussing with Jer the language we would want to learn if we have the time, and we both agreed on Spanish! (of course she have already learned Japanese, so Spanish is after Japanese for her)

German is just too difficult for me, and it just sounds nicer, than speaking it.

And somehow, fate or destiny caught up, and Nic texted me to see if I am interested to learn a new language.

Awesome...

So.. yar lor, español it is! Getting really confusing these few weeks! I wouldn't be able to understand if i watch a show in spanish for sure, haha. It would be awesome if i could stay in Spain or S.America to just live IN the language. :)

DRIVING

Like for goodness-sake, finally!
I had to go for an eye test (due to my lazy eye) just to apply for a PDL.

The first time I wanted to learn was before I went to UQ, and I failed the test immediately cos' they require me to have a doctor's letter.

Like OMG. ultimate fail, you all can not win me. It's not even the basic theory yet, and I failed the APPLICATION process. Bet you guys didn't know you can fail even before applying, haha!

So the 2nd time was this year. I already got my doctor's letter from NUH eye clinic when I was still working in NUH. But this time, BBDC said that the letter must be written within 3 months, and they actually want to see "fit for driving" in the letter. My doctor wrote "eye sight is good". Not good enough for BBDC apparently, Sigh!

SO.. I had to go and see the eye doctor again, get her to write "fit for driving" and go back BBDC.

This doctor, being a doctor, is damn rubbish. Even after telling her that I need her to write "fit for driving" exactly, guess what she wrote?

"Eyesight meets the criteria required for Level 4 license"

Literally wanted to bang my head against the wall.

Anyways, I went to BBDC again to try my luck, and fortunately they accepted it. HENG AH!

So, I got my PDL.  YAY!

Reallly, HAISH... it's not even an actual license and I already have to go through all these shit.

But so far, driving was fun. Hehe. My instructor is really good and very patient with me so far. Hoping for one-time pass! Really can not afford to, and don't want to, apply for PDL again!

NEW JOB
Got a new job after a few difficult interviews. I have started for almost a month actually.

It's funny how fate works.
I was happy with just a diploma initially, cos I really have had enough of studying after going to SP.
But without working in Quest, I wouldn't have thought I would actually want to get a degree.

If I haven't went to UQ, I wouldn't know how enjoyable studying is, and there is indeed a difference between studying and learning.

And the classic, if I haven't worked in the blood bank, I wouldn't have know I am blood type B instead of type-O, like what my mom have been telling me for the past 24 years.

I actually had an epiphany on this, and that people can only say and tell you what you are, but you may not be it!

I feel like I wouldn't trade anything to change my past now. It's perfect the way it worked out now. The people I have met, friends I have made, friends I have lost, friends I have kept close..

I actually don't think I would ever want go back to the lab again. At least not a Singapore lab.

I can't remember when was the last gel I made, or ran.
I can't remember the last time I held a pipette, or the last time I did streaking.

You never know until it is too late right?

maybe i will never wear gloves again, or hold a test tube .
maybe i will never touch an electrophoresis tank again.

Maybe this is what it's like to be growing up.

twenty-oh-eight.

How the year went.. it seems pretty long ago when it was January. it was indeed one long year. no longer the feeling i have that the year went by too fast. Because, so much happened this year, it's impossible that so many things could happen in a single year.

or probably, this was the way it should be and i that was living in a life-less life all along which made the year so damn fast.

haha.

This year, had my fair share of happiness, depression, anger, stress, loss. Nothing too much, though everyone wishes for happiness all the time. But I know without those hard times, I won't know how sweet the happiness are.

Watched lots of movies I would say. But don't think it was as much as previous years. we've... seen the light. haha. Read more books definitely. :) which is what I've always wanted. Problem finding a book that is decent enough. Maybe I should just switch to newspaper, lost touch of it since ages ago, woops. =X

I guess I've learnt alot this year? There's so much that we've brought from last year, and so much of this year to follow us on, and it goes on and on. Not much on academic knowledge, graduated from SP with much MUCH relief, and stepped into the working society, repaying the economy, TSK.

On people... I'm glad family is better and better, i suppose? :) More family gatherings this year which surprised me a lot. Glad that kiong and i survived yet another year haha! we do quarrel, of course, but just happy that we've past that stage and that I can't believe I trust him so much already. =X And of course, the people who stayed with me through difficult times you may not know, people who entered and coloured my life, and people who left their mark on their way out..

Hate it, when you know it's just "part and parcel of life" and you have to go through it. Wow. parcel from heaven.

And yea.. Have absolutely no idea why people are insisting I have my degree yada yada yada which I have totally no interest in. I will when I'm ready and that's until I have enough money to survive that degree. I'm almost at the start of repaying for my dip and I really need to start saving alot if i want or neeeeed my degree. haha.

yeah, that's another part. DEBT. And bills. Start contribution to the family. So adult right? hai...

Don't know what to expect from next year. More shoes, more facial products. Getting older and older each year increases my vanity. Sigh.. Oh, oh wow. Turning 21 next year! Not a good sign right? But I'd overcome birthday this year, stepped into "twenties" club, one year older doesn't make much difference i hope, :P

okie.
gotta head for work now. :)
Happy New Year everyone! hope we all have a great great year ahead!
Being generous when i said all hahaa.

Couldn't have been a better time

Exactly two years ago...

One year ago...

And just make a guess how long ago was this. OH MY~

I do miss those times where we work like hell for one report. Accomplishment. But seriously, I don't remember a single report that I've done already. It's so pointless to ask me to do reports. I'll forget it in time. Do you guys still visit PUBMED?????!

delete. delete. delete.
To those who didn't stay..

the after effects.

It really came down so hard(like finally) that I'm leaving, WE are all leaving. 3 whole years, fun and laughters. The compilation of photos really reminded me how much fun I had in poly, and it was all the people in the class that made that happen. Compilation was done by alpha and he actually burnt everything in to 18 cds for each and everyone of us!

Here we are complaining how little time we have for exams, and producing these cds definitely took HOURS AND HOURS especially to burn all 18 of them out. Maybe he went to beg the time-fairy or something to give him more time in exchange for, hmmmm... I dunno actually.

But truly thankful for the cd! To be honest, he is one person I didn't like in class (for whatever reasons) but I'm sure I won't hate him for doing such a sweet thing for our class! I mean, it's so commandable for him to do such stuffs cause' you probably won't find men doing such stuffs, compiling all the photos, writing up all the captions, putting in all the bg music.. right? men just can't be bothered sometimes, so I think he's not a man he's very nice to do this for his classmates.

was laughing so hard at our chalet photos btw. Man... those were fun times ey?

******************

Anyway I haven't got my cny clothes. It's not like I don't want to. but i really have no idea what to wear this year.. and i don't really wanna mention the bad taste i have in my clothes. So... it'd probably be just like any other year where I just randomly pull the clothes off the shelf.

:(

Right. I'll go shop for some clothes.
I hate it when people comment.

But you don't live alone linda!
Sigh, yeah....... =/

have you got your clothes already??? :/

study break

this was the first time, in all the 6 semesters, I finally got my study break. Monday was my last day of school where I sat for my Agrotech quiz and also my CSW roleplay. Both turned out pretty sucky and it was a terrible and irritating day. I thought Agro was frightening (haha.. i guess it's true for some of us), and then when I went for the role play it was a total disaster fo me cause I really don't understand the paper and didn't know what I'm supposed to do. And I am feeling soo soo soo sooooo bitter after that cause I didn't get to fail her for the student feedback. ARGHHHHHH!

Bleah. "could have been better."

So that's for the last day of school.

Immuno exam is in 6 days and I've not started yet. So many other things to take care of and after exams won't be any better with all the spring cleanings schedule already up for me to do (boo hoo!!) and the last minute shopping for CNY with no money again!

Hmm.......

Yesterday I was chatting with kiong and I was telling him about my secondary school life, like entirely, for about 3 hours! Like how I almost took half chem/phys cause I hated chem.. How i hated my chinese teacher and what she said when I got my A2 (i still hate her).. How I always failed by Add Maths.. How lichang was on a diet and we accompanied her to eat fruits (=)).. and our KL trip (wahahhaaha... ermmmhm...), my physics teacher, principal, how i met liting kailin siyi... and then how we had to clean and wash our class rooms cause our walls were filled with our shoe prints LOL..

it all seem so old and rusty already..
sad.
but I was glad I brushed them up.
hehe. =D

Alright! I'm going to start with Ms chan's notes today.
:) Ms chan is such a fantastic teacher. I dunno why I didn't like her before :(

好事也只能回味

Oh yea. before i forget, there's a possibility that classmates may start searching for my blog these days. just to save their efforts of searching, cause I refused to tell them this address haha.. I don't know, not prepared to handle my classmates breaching into my space. Some stuffs, behind all my smiles that I actually never actually felt like it was a class fit for humans, I never felt I belonged there.

Anyway, I was saying, just to save their efforts of maybe trying to search for it, I would probably tell the closer ones bout it. just to, while..keep in touch you know.. I would really miss them when we graduate. It's something I know would happen. And I know I'll miss the times spent with them.

Listening to this song now. Old song. really sweet. memories just flashed back. Even though I can't find a single link of those memories with this song. Haha.. It just brought back sweeet memories anyhow. what does 情非得已, these four words, mean anyway. I didn't bother to know and find the meaning of it before at all... don't intend to. just let things flow. lazy..

haha.

reminisce

Two papers down already! Pretty fast. Can't believe I sat through them. First one with me so sick that I barely had the strength to write, the second one with me wth wth wth under my breath throughout the paper.

Anyway, 2 down and 2 more to go. Somehow sitting for that 2 papers seem really really far already. It's a psychological thing isn't it.

I deleted all the music from my library again. Split up the English and Chinese songs into different drives, organise all the names, ripped all the cds all over again.

Sometimes I think I'm obsessive compulsive. I cannot stand it when my files (in the computer language) are not named properly, not viewed under the correct view (eg. thumbnails, tiles, list, etc.).

Especially my music folder. Don't you just hate it when you can't find your songs.

And I realised (thanks to shermin) that I have not been listening to mayday for a very long time. So I ripped my cds into my comp all over again, not missing any tracks this time. =) I think I'm going to buy the Jump concert cd. I didn't realise there were 4 new songs in it. bleaahs.

Birthday season is almost here. I was ripping my cds and saw the cds that lichang gave me for my birthdays. Stefanie Sun and Fish Leong by the way. She told me this before she gave them to me, some where along the line lah.

CDs serve as a very good present you know? You seldom throw your CDs away, sometimes you don't even throw them. Unlike food, you cannot eat them and so you can keep them forever. They always work, and you can always take them out and listen.

Honestly, I didn't quite believe her, haha! Cause' CDs, you listen and then you chuck them aside right? You rip them into your computer, and you listen from your comp. But then maybe she's really right you know.

I saw the CDs and INSTANTLY, I remembered everything. Saw the cards and everything. Haha. Yes, CDs are quite a good present to give for a friend. I bet she'll remember you, forever, in the long run. =)

I once took an online test that my personality resemebles the dinosaurs. T-REX in particular. I like to dwell on the sweet old memories, talk about the glory and fame of the past. Pretty much hate changes, and hate it when you're forgotten by your friends.

True or not, I shall try not to dwell on the little sweet memories I have, or had. Accept changes, change for the better. =)

Okie... gotta study study.
Everything turned rather grey lately, don't you think so?

Updates on my fyp:
FYP teacher decided that we should not meet tmr already since we're having our exams and are not free (i mean, why didn't he think of this before??). So we're supposed to meet him next Friday instead, even though our paper ends on Wed.

Why Friday?

because the other group's exams ends on Friday (of which they only have 2 papers BY THE WAY). Our fishes were taken by them as well, and they decided to leave all the dead ones for us. So teacher bought a new batch for us and we can only start when fishes arrive, yet, once again.

BITCHES.

p/s: i know i'm crude. but, whatever.

mundane?

was walking the usual route home frm the bus stop.
it's always so heartening to see happy family around in Singapore. :) saw a dad squatting down with his son and daughter in the middle of nowhere, just cuz the son feels like squatting down and the dad plays along.

what fortunate kids to have such a nice dad.

dad loves the kids.
kids love the mum.
mum loves the dad.

the other way round applies too.

I'd prolly be kicked in the butt by my dad and if I do that when i was young. Even if i knock my head or fell on the floor and injure myself, sobbing away with blood dripping, I still STILL think, my dad wants me to take care of myself, fend for myself and GROW UP and don't bother them so much.

which makes me kinda sad when i reach home..
:(

hack it if it's PMS.
it's not as if i can CHOOOSE to be a male or female.

but just so happen i feel so depressed when i reached home.

I'm like one pathetic soul, wandering around alone in my world. everyday i do the same usual things of:

waking up - work - meet kiong - go home - bathe - check emails - sleep.

yes, and today i felt it.
felt it so hard and decided to just jot this down here.
and the only reason why i blog about it is because of the exact same reason why i blog --i have no one to talk to.
:'(

which is sad.

everyday i put on a stupid looking mask and forced to talk to people i have no idea of, just so to hope i can get my A for attachment.

i laugh at their gossips, at their cynical jokes, at the bad things, at their idiotically stupid remarks and go along with them.

yes. i feel like vomitting when i look into the mirror..
:(

i quite miss going out with my friends happily. just friends. friends friends friends. people who care bout me, enjoy with me, talk and chat, concern, everything. i don't expect my friends to be always there for me cuz when i think about it, i don't think I'm THAT great a friend anyway.

WHICH, makes me conclude that i've really failed terribly as a person.

and i'm quite sad bout everything. :(

i'm quite clear about what I'm saying, but maybe just not too sure if it's true. i wonder what happen to my life.

cuz everything seem right, but felt wrong.

was i ever happy at all before?

:(

friendster.

i wanted to delete my friendster account.
cuz i think there's nothing much for me to do already and i don't like people to view my profile. =X

so i look through my pathetic number of testimonials, hahaa
i feel so happy looking through them
the feeling of those memories coming back
WAHAHA.
i love it man.

and most importantly!!
his first testimonial to me when we're in year one.

kiong1 =D
i love this guy to BITS.
big big BITS.
XD

kiong2 he is so adorable.
now he doesn't write testimonials to me already.
:(

he writes love letters to me.

what i go to school for

i remember myself having so so so much fun during secondary school times. Even with the stress carried all around the school, i had so much fun. so much fun with my friends and classmates and teachers.

now, it's really hard to stay happy and go really crazily mad with the people already. Used to laugh at the stupidest joke for hours and years. Laugh none stop. and when we finally stop, we laugh again. Now, i can't. seem impossible.

Used to have Yusheng every year. Though kind of lame come to think of it, but it was fun. So, not exactly that lame lah. Used to hangout at MacDonalds (this is damn super long ago) and KFC, check out latest gossips from friends. really HANGOUT. you know, teenage hangout place.

now, i don't even want to talk to them.

Used to laugh and get angry and where my world revolves ll around my friends (and O'levels). Now, it's just angry. and getting pissed off.

Used to have Lichang beside me everytime we're in school. and then she'll know everything i do. you know, those kind of "you see lichang, you'll see linda around too."

used to hear LiTing's laughter every time i'm in school. and sometimes even on weekends at study room! play with her. go running. talk talk talk. drink bubble tea. eat homemade noodles. eat M&Ms. walk walk. roller blade. everything else except go free-fall and parachute with her. hahas.

siyi. i remember going her house stay. roller blade. run. swimming at JE. haha. and then swimming again. i used to hear so many fashion stuffs and shopping from her and huiyi. hahaz. oh. i rmb she always cut hair too. hahaa.. i mean, when u see people cut hair, you'll sometimes feel tempted to cut too lahz.

i rmb i first know siyi cuz she was pulling my hand towards the school gate during 2.4km run. That time i really wanna ask her let go cuz i'm super tired. but that time dunno her ma, so i shy. shy shy shy. dun dare to talk to her. so i continue running. hahas. nv stop leh, her credits. haha. see? you never know how far you can go. =P

Okay. so random. haha.

kailin. as usual. super hardworking. used to have her as motivation to study harder and score better. hahas. you know what is efficiency? efficiency=Kailin.

anyway, even if i'm so not exactly happy with life in poly, i'm still glad that in the years to come, i will still have them around. :)

but then, poly life isn't really that bad. i met kiong kiong here, didn't I? :)

I think I'll still forgive her... Is this how friends work? We forgive and forget, and then, we'll reach a limit, and then what? NO LONGER MY FRIEND. what?! I dunno. -LiTing

whether weather.

i used to confused these two words.
lynette was the one who pointed out to me that they are different
hahaz.

weather is great
at the moment.
cool breeze
cold wind

especially coming into my room!
wind direction seldom direct to my room

yep, i love the breeze
hehe.
doing my report
listening to song
cold wind.

actually,
i don't really feel like doing my report

can't wait to meet my friends
kailin's birthday soon!
liting's exams are so going to be over already
will get to see them again

queenstown is so..
still etched in my mind.

haha
pauling says she's going to organise a BBQ at her place after A levels
hope everyone gathers again
heehe
it'd be so nice..
to visit her house again
haha

meeting him later
though it's less often already
i hope nothing changes
just the way it'll be
yeah?!

and finally!

aww.
i'll always be so touched whenever i hear this song;
That's when I love you.

how happy he made me on my birthday
Very nice song.
hehe.

E-learning is finally here!
week 7 already,
omg.

E-learning,
I consider it as a break
even though,
it's really not a break
with super lot of assignments.

Now that JC friends are graduating already
I can't believe how fast it has been.

yah,
quite long ago lah.
two years.
long, short?
depends.

Two years since I left Juying.
Happen to talk about uniforms and shirts today.
I suddenly remembered,
we had a shirt called
Number 1 tee-shirt.

OMG.
it's so...
long ago that i had almost forgotten.

Miss secondary school life?
Definitely.

Miss tt life probably cos
i really forgotten what the feeling is like,
want to have that feeling again.

But then,
i know i don't want to go back.
i rmb how hard life was during secondary sch.
busy. busy. busy.

life never changed.
:(

On the happier note,
ah ma is 90 years old already!
celebrating it on Sunday.

wow.
can't imagine myself in her shoes.
she must have gone through alot through the years.
I don't think anyone can really understand how she feels.

and she can still remember when is her birthday!
haaha.
so proud of her.
Long live to ah ma.
thousand years of life span.
:)
