If only business people are honest, (or if everyone is honest, generally), maybe science people wouldn't have to do IRR, RRR, NPV, marketing proposal and shits like that.
We have to, so that we don't get cheated and conned next time and just let somebody steal our inventions/research.
We need to do accounts so that we can keep within our research budget, otherwise no money and nobody cares even if your research is fantastic.
We have to learn all the engineering stuffs so that we know all our machines and bioreactors and don't let engineer cheat us in repairs, or wait for them to arrive while our culture dies.
We have to know the interior design and layout so that we can follow the ISO standard and build a lab properly so we don't have to keep renovating. Every window, every door, every table also must ISO standard. wtf.
And we still need to be creative if we ever want to set up a company because Wyeth, Pfizer, ESCO, Bio-rad, are too boring. Unlike say, Apple! so intersting.
Suddenly scientists seem like the dumbest of all.
Ugh.
Seriously can not live on satisfaction and interests.
